Namasté!
Good morning,
It is without question that for most of us, we may at one time or another felt betrayed in which may have left us feeling devastated. We may even have met others or found ourselves in a situation that we thought we could trust and then, seemingly without a clear warning, something happens and we then find out that we cannot trust that person or situation any longer. Anytime we place this trust outside of ourselves, we experience one of the greatest examples of judging by appearances, and we are certain to be disappointed. We then subject ourselves to the "victim" consciousness and find ourselves at the whim of forces outside of our control. Perhaps this is what the ancient scriptures meant when they urged each one of us to "Put not your trust in man whose breath is in his nostrils..." Well then you may be asking, how do we remain open and trusting and not become cynical or bitter towards people? And yet another question arises, how do we find a place of self-empowerment in these situations? My sweet friend, I believe the truth is that we do not have to trust in any person, place or situation. We do have to trust in Spirit however. For some of us, that will mean coming to a new understanding of both trust and Spirit. Principally speaking, if Spirit is all there is, and then we must trust that Spirit is moving through every person, place and situation as well. Christ the prophet taught us to seek first the kingdom, and this means continuously turning within to the one Power. In so doing, everything that is trustworthy will be shown to us and we will find ourselves in a freedom that we so desire. Have a truly spectacular day!
In loving white light, my faith, love and magik...
Blessed be always,

To hold open a door; to say "thank you" and "your welcome," "hello" and "good-bye";
To inquire into the welfare of your neighbor; to ask politely instead of rudely demand;
To let a car out of a driveway; to pick up after yourself; to be forbearing and friendly;
To be civil and refined; to carry yourself with dignity and grace; to offer your hand in help;
To be kind and courteous; to be amiable and considerate; to be cordial and indulgent, magnanimous and just plain decent, surely we have "world enough and time" for this.

The unfolding soul thinks less and less about "me" and more and more about "us." Many Buddhists take the vow of the Bodhisattva, agreeing to forgo their own evolution into a Pure Land (a heaven realm) in order to continue being reborn on this earth or in any realm where they can be a service to those who are still suffering from the illusions of unworthiness and separation.

Goals
"If there were a goal to life, things would not be so beautiful, because one day you would come to the very end, and then everything after that would just be boring. There would be repetition, repetition, repetition; the same monotonous state would continue - and life abhors monotony. It goes on creating new goals - because it has none! Once you attain a certain state, life gives you another goal. The horizon goes on and on running in front of you; you never reach it, you are always on the way - always reaching, just reaching. And if you understand that, then the whole tension of the mind disappears, because the tension is to seek a goal, to arrive somewhere.
Mind is continuously hankering for arrival, and life is a continuous departure and arrival again - but arriving just to depart once more. There is no finality to it. It is never perfect, and that's its perfection. It is a dynamic process, not a dead, static thing.
Life is not stagnant - it is flowing and flowing, and there is no other shore. Once you understand this you start enjoying the journey itself. Each step is a goal, and there is no goal. This understanding, once it settles deep into your inner core, relaxes you. Then there is no tension because there is nowhere to go, so you cannot go astray."

You can be a victim or you can be a visionary - you can focus on the past or you can focus on the future - but you cannot do both. It is a choice. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. -- Joe Tye (joe@joetye.com)
